Do I need a mount bracket for the stick, to mount the hydraulic cylinder to my machine?

Most machines come standard with mount brackets for the thumb kits hydraulic cylinder. Some older machines do not already have these mounts welded onto their sticks. We do make factory style cylinder mounts,  for John  Deere, Kubota, Bobcat & TB style machines. The mount brackets do require welding to attach to your machines stick.

  • How will my main pin be able to be greased without it being center drilled?

How will my main pin be able to be greased without it being center drilled?

Due to the main pins added length and leverage, it is more likely to break. For this reason we do not provide center drilled main pins. Not drilling the main pin increases the life of the pin but it will still require a way to be greased. To extend the life of your new thumb assembly.

We recommend installing a grease fitting in the center of the main stick; drill, tap, and insert a grease fitting at this location. See our example video on how to do this.
