RCM manufactures professionally designed thumb claw attachments for mini excavators in Idaho. Our thumbs are designed to fold up as close to the boom as possible under 12”. With 120 +/- degrees of rotation, for maximum use. Made in the USA, using stronger AR400 3/4'' steel that will not wear down. We also offer kits for machines with different arm lengths, optional weld on base mounts, and custom kits upon request.

RCM excavator thumb kits are made to be a great value while offering: incredible quality, design, and durability. We are continually striving to produce the best quality thumbs possible. This is a complete thumb kit with everything you need to install on a machine. We include a 30 day return policy and 1 year warranty on all thumb kits. Instructions included with all orders.
Our thumbs and hydraulic cylinders are custom designed and manufactured in the USA. Our cylinders are high quality with a stronger internal rod to prevent bending. Made for 3500 psi, tested at 3000 psi. Cylinder stroke distance = 17.5’’. Designed for maximum possible stroke, the thumb folds up and out of the way when not in use, under 15’’. Less than even factory designed models. Utilizing side ports allows for the hoses to connect out of the way of use.
Kit includes: RCM custom designed thumb, custom hydraulic cylinder, two ½’’ hydraulic hoses (standard or longer lengths), main pin (not center drilled), two hydraulic cylinder pins, for older machines two flat face quick connect couplers (1 male/ 1 female) or for Newer machines two hydraulic adapters, two 90- degree elbows, four nuts and bolts. Optional cylinder base mount available (welding required).
These excavator thumb kits are made to last! Composed of two 3⁄4'' thick AR400 steel tines. Thumb Length = 31’’ Thumb Inner Width = 10.875’’. Depending on the size of your bucket, the thumb may touch on the teeth of the bucket. Our tines will hold up too many years of wear and tear. AR400 is a much stronger and harder steel than A36 steel. Many fabricators only use A36 Steel, causing them to wear down quickly. The main pin is from 4140 Heat treated, high strength steel. This high strength pin will last, decreasing chances of: complications, breaks, wear, and tear. Not center drilled. Grease fittings are provided at all pivoting locations. Fittings are protected from material collision that may occur during use. Due to increased chances of the main pin breaking, we do not center drill the main pins for grease fittings. Instead, grease fittings are located at the thumbs pivot points.
